We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Automobile Workshop Supervisor to oversee daily operations at our workshop in Tanzania. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in managing large-scale automobile workshops, ensuring efficient workflow, timely repairs, and exceptional service standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Workshop Operations Management:
Supervise all workshop activities, including vehicle repairs, maintenance, and diagnostics.
Ensure efficient allocation of jobs to technicians based on skillset and workload.
Maintain productivity and minimize turnaround time without compromising quality.
Team Supervision and Training:
Lead and mentor a team of mechanics and technicians.
Conduct regular performance reviews and identify training needs to enhance technical skills.
Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Customer Service:
Interact with customers to understand their vehicle concerns and provide timely updates on repairs.
Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality service and resolving complaints effectively.
Inventory and Spare Parts Management:
Monitor and manage stock levels of spare parts and tools.
Coordinate with procurement for timely replenishment of parts.
Quality Control and Safety Compliance:
Conduct quality checks on completed repairs to ensure adherence to company standards.
Enforce safety regulations and ensure the workshop operates in compliance with local laws.
Reporting and Documentation:
Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, service history, and expenses.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Diploma or degree in Automobile Engineering or a related field.
A minimum of 5+ years of supervisory experience in a large automobile workshop.
Strong technical knowledge of vehicle repair and maintenance (experience with both light and heavy vehicles preferred).
Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
Ability to communicate effectively in English; knowledge of Swahili is an added advantage.
Proficient in using workshop management software and MS Office tools.
