Site Engineer – ETP/STP


We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Site Engineer (ETP/STP) to join our team at Indra. The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing the installation, commissioning, and initial operation of wastewater treatment plants at client sites. The role demands strong coordination with internal engineering teams, field technicians, and client stakeholders to ensure timely and successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and prepare treatment plant systems and components for site installation and commissioning.

  • Coordinate logistics including equipment dispatch, site preparation, manpower, and travel arrangements.

  • Develop a comprehensive installation and commissioning plan with defined timelines and resource requirements.

  • Supervise and manage daily activities during installation, commissioning, and plant startup phases.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for client-side operations and technical teams on-site.

  • Coordinate with QA/QC teams or third-party labs for influent and effluent testing and ensure compliance.

  • Provide periodic updates and progress reports to internal teams and clients.

  • Prepare and submit detailed commissioning and performance reports with optimization suggestions.

  • Support plant handover procedures and facilitate post-commissioning reviews and demobilization.

Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Civil Engineering (or relevant field).

  • 1–3 years of experience in wastewater treatment plant operations; Freshers with relevant academic exposure are welcome.

  • Strong practical understanding of wastewater treatment systems and on-site operational protocols.

  • Experience in leading field teams or operators is an added advantage.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Proficient in MS Excel and data reporting tools.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent planning, execution, and field coordination abilities.

  • Accountability and ownership in field-based responsibilities.
